In the middle of the pandemic, the agency I am currenty employed at decided to make a website that would allow the Lancaster community to see a directory of businesses that offered adapted services that adhered to the then current guidelines. This site was built in an attempt to help out local businesses to allow them to be easily searched in one location.
This was a pretty simple site to build out. It's essentially a directory of businesses. I coded the site in a way that allowed other members of the team to easily add businesses, tag them with categories, and add imagery and content.
The turnaround time for this project was pretty quick. Luckily, I was able to focus on building out the templates first, allowing different team members to populate the site while I focused on refining the site and adjusting styles.
The development of this site was pretty straight forward. There were no complicated data points or anything crazy to manage. It was a straight forward site to code, which is so nice to have every once in a while!
Because of this, I was able to focus on really fine tuning the site. I had time to experiment with different animations, coded a custom mobile menu, and spent a lot more time focusing on the mobile experience and its responsive layout.
